The people who work at The Benjamin Group not only have the knowledge and experience to help you pursue your financial goals, but they also happen to be extremely great folks, too! Our staff is always ready to address your concerns, answer your questions, and put you at ease.

Stuart Benjamin

Founder

Stuart Benjamin, ChFC®, graduated from the University of Georgia in 1977, joined the MONY Group, and began a career in helping people learn how to make sound financial decisions. This journey has lasted for more than 39 years and taken him through 20 years as an instructor at Samford University teaching the Retirement Planning Today seminar as well as numerous educational seminars for such companies as Energen, Alabama Power, Southern Nuclear, and Vulcan Materials. Stuart's desire to serve his clients and see them walk away with a clearer understanding of their assets and how to use them to their best advantage keeps him motivated toward continual growth.

When not involved in his business, Stuart enjoys exercising, the outdoors, camping, snow skiing, gardening, and playing golf. His passion for cooking and traveling keeps him and his family well-fed and moving.

Debbie Tibbs

Client Services Coordinator

Debbie Tibbs, client services coordinator, is a critical piece of the service team. She joined The Benjamin Group in February 2001 and performs an invaluable task in assisting clients with all help necessary to ensure satisfaction. Her cheerful demeanor and enthusiasm for her work is reflected in the way clients refer to her.

Apart from The Benjamin Group, Debbie finds enjoyment in cooking and baking homemade bread. She also enjoys spending time with her friends. She is involved in her church, where she is a member of many small groups. Debbie especially enjoys Threads of Love, where she and other talented volunteers knit and crochet baby blankets and hats to donate to the many hospitals in the area. She has three boys—Josh, Ethan, and Avery, all off at college.

Debbie lives in Birmingham and hopes to one day retire to the mountains.

Nancy Atkins

Client Relations

Nancy Atkins is a graduate of Auburn University and joined The Benjamin Group in April of 2014.  She comes to us by way of the ob-gyn residency program at UAB, where she was residency program coordinator. Nancy's strengths are in client relations and event planning, and she is yet another way in which we can stay connected and be available to our clients.

Nancy enjoys cooking, hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

 

Rhonda Flowers

Administrative Assistant

Rounding out the team at The Benjamin Group is Rhonda Flowers, who joined the firm in February 2007. When you call in, Rhonda will most likely be the person on the other end of the line.

When not at the office, Rhonda enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. Rhonda lives in Alabaster with her husband, David, and her two girls, Chelsea and Kyra.
